FAQ

  • How do Upicks work?

So Upicks are scheduled in the evenings because flowers and people don’t like the hot sun - they both wilt.

For each month, we typically have 2 scheduled Upicks a week. Just click on the month that interests you to see the dates we offer. We also only provide a small number of slots for each Upick (typically 10-12), so that customers can have a quiet, peaceful experience. If you have a large group, just contact us to reserve one of our dates or talk about scheduling another date.

Once you schedule a date, you can expect an email that gives instructions, a GPS link, and flower-care link. It comes 2 days before your Upick (if you schedule less than 2 days prior, we send the email ASAP).

Then when you arrive, we provide a gallon picking bucket, snips, & apron for you to use during the Upick. You have approximately an hour to pick flowers to your hearts content or until your bucket is full - whichever comes first. Our bucket is for sale (so purchase it separately here on the website) to take your flowers home. Or you can bring your own container to transport your blossoms home.

**At this time, customers may share a bucket, but a maximum of one bucket per customer. If you need more flowers, please contact so we can make special arrangements!

  • Even though you don't do weddings, do you do other special orders?

Yes! I work with clients to arrange either market bouquets or special vase designs for their events like parties, banquets, rehearsal dinners, and etc. Just call or email me to talk about what you want, and we can see if what we offer suits your needs.

I’m also happy to refer you to some fellow flower farmers who do beautiful work.

  • What does it mean that you're seasonal?

Our season typically runs May through October. We send out emails and post on social media when the flowers are ready to be shared in the spring and when they are done in the fall.

  • What is the advantage of locally grown flowers?

I am so glad you asked! Other than all the other amazing benefits to you and the local economy, buying local flowers means a few things in particular.

First, your flowers are super fresh - picked only a few days to a few hours in advance. Since they are fresh, they should typically hold up better once you buy them (that depends on how well you care for them as well).

Another benefit is that they can have more scent than imported flowers. Imported flowers are bred to travel well. Since local farmers have quick turn around times, we can grow varieties that haven’t lost their beautiful scent.
